XO Baby Head Mug

This stoneware ceramic slip cast mug was made using a vintage plaster doll head mold. The handle was slip cast from a hand made mold and has a carved texture. Swirled blue and white slip created the one-of-a-kind surface, which was left unglazed. Wet sanded to a smooth finish, the exterior of this mug feels almost like concrete. "X" and "O" carved into the eyes. Glazed inside in a purplish-blue. Microwave, dishwasher safe, holds about 16 oz and measures 4" in height.
